Jenni Rättyä is a family photographer whose core focus is capturing genuine, everyday emotions. My interest in people — especially children — has guided my photographic work from the start. With over ten years of experience, I’ve learned to meet families calmly, warmly and creatively. I work primarily in Kokkola and the Kalajoki River Valley area but am happy to travel further when needed. In family photography I aim for naturalness: I want your family to feel at ease so the session never feels staged. I offer both studio sessions and on-location shoots — my studio in Ylivieska features versatile backdrops, soft window light and a cozy atmosphere, but I’m equally happy to photograph you at home or in a beautiful outdoor setting. I’m especially passionate about photographing children, babies and newborns as well as christening and birthday sessions — those small, fleeting moments are the ones you’ll want to return to for years. My working style is client-focused and relaxed. We begin with a conversation about your wishes and ideas so we can plan a session that suits your family. During the shoot I create a joyful and safe atmosphere — I know children and pets often need time and gentle guidance, so I work patiently and playfully. I believe in storytelling through small moments: everyday laughter, looks and touches are the images that carry the most meaning. In the final image processing I use my own editing style that respects the subject’s personality. I aim for warm, timeless photos that reflect who you are.
