I’m Mette Nivala, a family photographer based in Janakkala. For me, family photography is more than a job — it’s a way to capture the warmest everyday and celebratory moments authentically and timelessly. My photographic style is natural, bright and calm: I look for moments where atmosphere and emotion appear without artificial posing. I want your family photos to feel truly yours and to evoke memories for years to come. As a photographer I especially enjoy photographing children and newborns. I work gently and patiently so that even the smallest subjects feel comfortable, allowing us to capture peaceful, genuine expressions. I offer outdoor (environmental) sessions, at-home portraits or studio options in Lahti — always choosing the setting that feels most natural for your family. During the shoot I provide gentle guidance and also leave room for spontaneous joy; often the best images come from unplanned moments. I primarily work in Janakkala and nearby areas, but I’m flexible regarding the shoot location.
