I’m Tapani Rautio, a family photographer based in Oulu who loves capturing the genuine moments and small wonders of family life. I work with a positive, relaxed approach — my goal is to create a session where children and parents can be themselves. Family photography is my primary specialty: I aim to reveal family dynamics, tiny expressions and shared moments that will warm you for years to come. My unique approach is rooted in natural atmosphere and flexibility. I prefer to work with available light so images retain an authentic, soft look, but I also bring a mobile studio kit when needed — this lets us create the desired setting regardless of lighting conditions. I have completed the professional photographer vocational qualification (VAT) and have years of experience, combining technical confidence with a people-centered way of working. Newborn and baby sessions are especially close to my heart. In newborn photography I always follow the child’s pace: the session is designed as a calm, playful moment so genuine expressions and small details come through. For family portraits I often use everyday situations and natural interaction — these candid moments tell more than carefully posed shots. My working style is personal and flexible. We discuss your wishes in advance, choose a suitable environment and plan a session that works for the whole family. During the shoot I guide gently and encourage natural interaction — most of the best photos come from shared play and real connection. I operate in Oulu and the surrounding area and can photograph you at home, outdoors in a beloved landscape, or in a studio setup brought to your chosen location.
