I’m Johanna, the family photographer behind Kaunein Hetki Photography in Kuopio. Family photography is close to my heart: I aim to capture those small, genuine moments and interactions that make up your family’s story. I work calmly and with gentle direction so the session feels comfortable for both children and adults — the goal is natural, warmly edited images you’ll love returning to for years. My approach adapts to your family’s pace. Babies and children are free to be themselves; often the best shots come from play, cuddles or doing something together. I offer sessions at your home or outdoors in locations meaningful to you — a forest path, a lakeside or an everyday moment in your garden can all make perfect backdrops. I prefer to photograph newborns and babies at home, unhurried and on the baby’s terms, while every family session focuses on the shared atmosphere and connection. My working style is warm and deliberate: we agree on the session’s style and location in advance, I send preparation tips, and I can bring loanable accessories for maternity or styled shoots if needed. During the session I give gentle guidance and create a relaxed atmosphere so everyone can be themselves in front of the camera. After the shoot you select your favourite images from an online gallery; I carefully edit each chosen photo so the final result reflects the moment’s mood and your personalities. As a mother of two preschool children, I understand everyday dynamics and the needs of little ones. This experience helps me provide a gentle, flexible session where the most important things are feeling good and capturing authentic emotions. I primarily work in Kuopio and the North Savo region and enjoy collaborating with clients to find the places and moments that feel uniquely theirs.
