I’m Tuija, a family photographer based in the Salo area — a mother of three and a former language teacher who makes family photography an easy and genuine experience. For me, family photography is more than arranging potential poses: I look for the moments that tell your story. I work calmly and at a baby’s pace so the smallest family members feel safe and natural in front of the camera. My specialities include family photography, child photography and newborn photography. I approach these sessions with a gentle, documentary style while also creating portrait‑like images when appropriate. I shoot both in the Astrum studio in Salo and at homes or natural locations across Southwest Finland, aiming to make the session feel like a pleasant moment of togetherness: I offer soft guidance, leave room for real interactions, and capture the little details that will live on in your photos. My working method includes a careful pre‑shoot consultation — we plan together what mood and setting suit you best. I provide loan garments for expectant parents and strive to keep the shoot timing flexible, especially for families with babies. Documentary family sessions allow for natural everyday moments, and if you wish I can also deliver more posed, portrait‑style images such as formal family portraits or sibling pictures. Although family photography is my core focus, I also photograph celebrations and events such as christenings, confirmations and birthday parties, and I accept pet photography sessions too — whenever you want to preserve your time together as a memory. My services cover Salo and the wider Southwest Finland region; if needed, we can arrange shoots at locations farther afield. I value close collaboration with clients: I’m present, I listen to your wishes, and I give space and time for both small and big moments.
