Vahtera Photography is a duo specializing in family photography, capturing families, children and celebrating youth around Väståboland as well as the Turku and Uusikaupunki areas. Essi and Timo approach family sessions with a gentle, relaxed manner: the goal is to preserve authentic moments and natural feelings without overly directive posing. Sessions are fun and always led by the children’s pace so the final images genuinely reflect how your family is together. Our particular expertise lies in environmental outdoor shoots by nature and in a cosy at-home studio atmosphere, where the setting feels safe and familiar. We are happy to come to your favourite forest spot, a sheltered beach corner or your own backyard; alternatively, we can set up studio-like conditions close to your home. Because we also photograph many family pets, we know how to combine the dynamics of animals and children into natural, harmonious family images. Our working style is calm and flexible: we plan the location and timing with you, create a warm atmosphere on the shoot day and deliver a selection of proof images for you to choose which photos will be fully edited. We use professional equipment and carefully refine files in Lightroom and Photoshop so every image radiates a natural colour palette and authentic mood.
