I’m Kati, a family photographer based in Kaarela who celebrates the small, meaningful moments of everyday life. My family photography begins with the desire to capture honest, genuine and emotional moments without overproduction or artifice. I aim for images that reflect your family’s character and warmth, so that when you look at them you’re brought straight back to that moment — feeling included. My specialism is family photography: I photograph children, baby families, newborns and milestone celebrations such as baptisms and confirmations. My approach is gentle and calm — I strive to create a safe, relaxed atmosphere during the session where even the shyest family members can be themselves. I favour natural light and a documentary style; I work towards soft tones and a feeling that is focused on the moment. My working method is built on listening and collaboration. I don’t apply ready-made poses to you; instead I plan each session together according to your wishes and your family’s everyday rhythm — whether that means using a home studio, my studio in Pitäjänmäki, the comfort of your own home, or an outdoor location that holds meaning for you. The shoot is kept pleasantly relaxed: I let the family live the moment, gently guiding when needed and capturing the natural interactions. Photography is my passion and a way to tell stories through images. I have been working as a photographer since 2017 and have developed a sensitive, documentary style that emphasises presence and authentic interaction.
