Before the session you receive preparation tips and a calming, personal check-in — the goal is for your family to arrive relaxed and without performance pressure. During the shoot Maija guides gently and playfully, giving children the time and space to be themselves and allowing moments to unfold naturally. Her working method is built on empathy and long experience with children, which shows in a relaxed and genuine photography experience. Background and passion: Maija has an education in visual arts and founded the MunMuru brand in 2016. She is also the mother of two school-aged children, which brings a deep understanding of parents’ everyday life and children’s world — this experience is reflected in the sensitivity with which she photographs families.
