Hello — I’m Petra, a family photographer and mother based in Sibbo. My heart is with families and maternity photography: I love to pause those small, irreplaceable moments — laughter, cuddles and the tender feeling of expectation — so you can return to them years from now. For me, family photography is above all storytelling; I don’t want to stage a series of poses, but to create a space where your family’s authenticity and closeness appear naturally. My style is warm, documentary and relaxed. I photograph mood, light and small details: the touch of hands, children’s spontaneous laughter, the quiet beauty of a waiting moment. I approach shoots calmly and with gentle guidance — I don’t demand perfection. Often the best images are created when the family forgets the camera and simply lives the moment together. My working method is as clear as it is warm: first we get to know each other — I want to hear your story, wishes and any preferred locations. On the day of the shoot I create a relaxed, safe atmosphere where children and parents can be exactly who they are; moments of laughter, play and tenderness are welcome. Afterwards I send a selection gallery so you have time to choose your favourite images at your own pace. Photographing is a collaborative process — I make room for you and, as a professional, bring light, composition and mood. I mainly work in Sibbo and the Uusimaa region, but I’m happy to travel by arrangement. My approach is guided by personal understanding of family life: I’m a mother myself and I know how valuable photographed moments become. I want the photography to leave you with a memory — not just pictures, but a warm and genuinely personal experience.
