Tmi Irina Hirsma is specialized in family photography in Vantaa and treats it as a matter of the heart. I began my long career at Kuvasiskot in 1990, studied at the Pekka Halonen Academy and worked for many years as photography director at Kuva-Ahti Oy. Those years have shaped an approach that combines professional expertise with an artistic eye and a people-centered attitude. At the core of my family photography are genuine emotional moments and a natural atmosphere. I work calmly and patiently so that even a shy child or a nervous pet feels comfortable in front of the camera. My studio in Hiekkaharju, Vantaa, is equipped with props and atmospheric elements—old trunks, fabrics, sheepskins and toys—that support a warm, timeless look. Equally naturally, I also photograph on location or at the client’s home. I always listen to the family’s wishes beforehand so the session is relaxed and the plan serves your unique story. My special expertise includes newborn and child photography as well as family portraits that combine documentary moments with carefully guided formal images. As an animal-loving photographer, I’m happy to include pets in the session and, when needed, we agree on a shooting environment that suits the whole family. It’s important to me to help families find natural poses and expressions without hurry, so the final images genuinely feel like you. My working method is built on years of experience and client-focused service: pre-session consultation, a calm shooting atmosphere and careful post-processing ensure results you’ll want to return to for years.
